LETTERS TO THE BLIND
Reply from JNF after my reply on last blog entry:
Dear Ms. Nitzana,
JNF was founded in 1901 to serve as caretaker of the land of Israel and its work currently covers the following action areas: Ecology & Afforestation; Water; Community Development; Research & Development; Tourism & Recreation; Security; and Education. Over the past century, the organization has planted over 240 million trees, built over 150 reservoirs and dams, developed over 250,000 acres of land, created more than 450 parks and educated students around the world about Israel and the environment. This effort and the comprehensive scope of our seven action areas constitute our contribution towards the Jewish homeland. The comfort zones and parks, mentioned in our dialogue, represent but a small portion of our efforts.
I understand you are frustrated by current events, but again, JNF is a non political organization and cannot get involved in political discussions.
Thank you,

Subject: Re: TREES!
My response to this is manyfold. JNF, from its inception, has promised the Jewish People to be the caretakers and GUARDIANS of the land entrusted into its care. There is so much wrong with the so-called "apolitical" stance by JNF that to enumerate it all would be, it seems, an exercise in futlility.
In the meantime, their "uninvolvement" says they only go where the Israeli Government says is Israel.
Well, what about this?
JNF reclaimed the entire Rafiah Region:
The Six Day War of 1967 started a fresh page in the history of Israel, and
JNF was enlisted to develop new areas for settlement. In that year, the Fund
reclaimed 11,000 acres of land and helped establish new communities. JNF
helped develop the RAFIAH REGION, to the Dead Sea, and the southeastern area
running down to the Arava, contributing to new settlement efforts from the Dead
Sea to the Red Sea.
I am telling you, our trees are everywhere, except for probably Gaza City. The planting and water flow in the Gush was under the auspices of JNF, same in the Golan, Ramon, Hebron, and on and on. For over a hundred years.
SOME RECENT HISTORY
Think Gush.
Excerpt....
I am living in Gush Katif only one year but already
I can feel that my roots are very deep here, like the acacia trees that the JNF
planted all over Gush Katif to prevent sand storms. Like the roots of the
endless varieties of vegetables and houseplants that are exported daily from
Gush Katif to all over the world. When you work the land, you gradually become
part of the land, and you love it even more. The children of Gush Katif who work
the land are among the best soldiers in the Israeli army because their love for
Eretz Yisrael is even stronger.
July, 2003
Yediot Aharonot reports that the Jewish National Fund (JNF) and the Israeli Tourism Ministry have invested more than $200,000 to build a promenade between the settlement of Beit El and the outpost of Givat Artis although the outpost is listed for evacuation. The director of the Beit El council says that the settlement intends to expand eastward and connect with the Ofra settlement, making the Givat Artis outpost the first step in that process.
What man, any man, (or set of men,) has the right to rob G-d of what is G-d's, bequeathed almost 6,000 years ago to HaIvri when the first alter was placed in Moreh?
The FIRST Covenant was between G-d and mankind, all people, and while the chronological facts might be distorted, since Noah was extremely symbolic, the promise to Noah never to destroy mankind again by flood, WAS the first true Covenant ever spoken of in the Old Testament.
Thousands of years later, the SECOND Covenant as we know it, was between Abram and his G-d, and it encompassed Abram's followers, Ivri, though it was obviously Sarai who was the Chosen one. Bloodlines were extremely important and ONLY Sarai's son was permitted to inherit the THIRD Covenant, which was the Covenant made with Abraham at Moreh and again at Hebron. IT encompassed the People and the Land. A FOURTH Covenant was established with Isaac at Gerar and a Fifth at Beersheba. The SIXTH was with Jacob which created the ROOTS of the Nation of Israel. Israelites. Children of Israel. We had the ROOTS of a NATION without a country. We dwelt in the land bought from its inhabitants, and on those small plots of land is where the holiest places denote the place of the Patriarchs. Un-hewn stone alters to honor G-d were placed at each spot.
THEY are Eretz Yisrael, sayeth the L-rd G-d Almighty. G-d has honored the promise. Men have not. JNF has pledged false allegiance and fallen from grace.

So I am supposed to take the endorsement of a rag like the WP as a sign
from G-d that this man is right for the job? I don't think so.
Personally, I believe that Roe is terrible law, is not really law at
all, and was decided on the proposition that there is an inherent "right" in the
Constitution for women to join into a conspiracy with a physician to commit infanticide as long as the parties agree to it in private. Murder by any other name...is STILL murder.
These answers were during confirmation for CIRCUIT Court, NOT the Supreme
Court.
I'm watching. In the meantime, why don't YOU check the Whitehouse.gov site
and see all the nice things our president, who is helping to destroy
Israel, has said about Islam, and then try to find a corresponding page
which contains "nice" things he says about Jews...if you can...or IF you
care.
Why don't you try and find out why he never kept the promises he made to us
Joos who voted for him? Why was one of his chief advisors the daughter of an
Egyptian General? Why has Condoleezza Rice been permitted to demand Israel's
suicide...not that Sharon hasn't helped.
I have many questions about what is going on in this administration, because I SEE a continuation from the last one and it is profound.

Subject: Judge John Roberts "Roe is binding precedent"
Judge John Roberts
Supreme Court Nominee:
"Roe is binding precedent"
July 20, 2005
In answer to the following question from Sen. Joseph R. Biden Jr. (D-Del.) for Roberts' 2003 confirmation hearing, regarding a legal brief in Rust v. Sullivan, that carried Roberts'name as deputy solicitor general: "Do you continue to believe that [Roe v. Wade] was wrongly decided? Why or why not?"
I do not believe that it is proper to infer a lawyer's personal views from the positions that lawyer may advocate on behalf of a client in litigation. To the extent the question about my 'continuing' belief is based on the federal government's brief in Rust v. Sullivan, nothing about what my personal views were or are should be inferred from the fact that my name appears on the federal government's brief, as one of nine lawyers in that case.
The Supreme Court's decision in Roe is binding precedent, and if I were to be confirmed, as a circuit judge, I would be bound to follow it, regardless of any personal views. Nothing about my personal views would prevent me from doing so.
John Roberts, April 30, 2003, speaking in his confirmation hearing before the Senate Judiciary committee:
My practice has not been ideological in any sense. My clients and their positions are liberal and conservative across the board. I have argued in favor of environmental restrictions and against takings claims. I've argued in favor of affirmative action. I've argued in favor of prisoners' rights under the Eighth Amendment. I've argued in favor of antitrust enforcement.
At the same time, I've represented defendants charged with antitrust cases. I've argued cases against affirmative action.
And what I've been able to do in each of those cases is set aside any personal views and discharge the professional obligation of an advocate.
The Washington Post editorial on Roberts'nomination:
In nominating Judge John G. Roberts Jr. to the Supreme Court, President Bush picked a man of substance and seriousness. Judge Roberts has served only briefly on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit, but he was previously among the country's best-regarded appellate lawyers, both in private practice and as deputy solicitor general during the administration of George H.W. Bush.
Judge Roberts is a conservative, but he has never been an ideological crusader; he has admirers among liberals.
If confirmed as the successor to Justice Sandra Day O'Connor, it is likely that he will shift the Supreme Court toward the right. But his nomination is not a provocation to Democrats -- as some other possible nominees would have been. Mr. Bush deserves credit for selecting someone with the potential to attract broad support.

Dear Nitzana,
You should have recently received a
letter from President Bush asking you to make a new commitment to
the Republican National Committee. I hope it reached you safely --
and I hope the President and the RNC can rely on your additional
help today.
Now, I have been a Republican and believed in the man. Belief in men can only bring you grief when you are betrayed. Only G-d deserves that much respect and/or devotion. Beware pretty words. The Creator is angered beyond belief.
And last, but not least:
ONE JERUSALEM

What has happened to the personal responses we were supposed to receive from Natan Sharansky? I have checked every day. Now, I don't even see the place where you could direct questions personally to Natan Sharansky.
Are ANY of of inquiries going to be answered, as promised, or are we left by One Jerusalem, as we have been abandoned by JNF, to simply blow in the wind?
Why is the Jewish Legion being expelled by those who welcomed their presence, and who have contributed so much to guarding those ingrates who, in the name of political expediency, are now distancing themselves from the very people who have risked lives, placing themselves as a first line patrol of Settlement borders between those who murder, and those families at high risk. The defeatists have acquiesced to a corrupt government. How many times will Children of Israel voluntarily be herded into the cattle cars?
Does "NEVER AGAIN" mean NOTHING to those who think diplomacy, which has never solved a problem in the history of the world, can possibly work against an enemy who has sworn to wipe us off the earth?
You might get way with stating it is HaShem's will, but it is NOT. It is man's will and G-d has warned us time and again. I do not believe that HaShem is with the government or the defeatists. HaShem makes it very clear that ONLY those who call on the Name of The L-rd will be answered, and that Jerusalem will not be spared because of the evil it continues to spawn minute by minute. Churches have stolen land from the Children of Israel and we must pay them tribute, even for the land upon which the Knesset is built. Arabs whose countries refuse their presence are stealing the rest. And ALL murder us in spirit and in body.
I am HaIvri, part of THE PEOPLE since the time of Abraham and Sarah. I am not a Judaite. I am an Israelite and proud.
When did you lose your pride, Oh, Israel? And why are there so few of us left?

I don't know to what extend getting a protest from the Keren Kayemet LeYisrael would make a difference, even in the event that you could convince them of your point. Protest should be centered on Sharon. Yet getting Jewish organizations, as well as individual Jews in Israel and in chutz la'aretz to join in with the Antidisengement front is certainly the way to go.
But there is more you could accomplish with a BLOG. Sharon's idea of individual Jews carring on with the Hasbara campaing could work more for us than for him. So I suggest you use your blog for hasbara on Eretz Yisrael and Shlemut Ha'aretz.
Best wishes, and feel free to exchange links with me.
