IN THE MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT

I can't stand it, I tell ya!
So many mornings, I wake up to the news, and invariably, there is murder and mayhem and Islamofascist terrorism. At least twice a week, there is some reference to Hitler, Nazis, the Holocaust, and video to go right with it. It got so crazy, I told a friend of mine it was starting to seem personal.
Not a SINGLE day goes by that I don't see/hear Christians telling ME I need saved...or Islam saying I never should have BEEN here..or worse.
I've even seen jews for jesus on a major news network explaining how they were trying just so hard to bring us Hebes the "good news." When they finished, (with straight faces,) the hosts wished them "all the luck in the world in spreading the message."
Last night, I went to bed after setting up my last blog post.
Living in the mountains is a blessing, and counting them all, besides my son, it is way up there on my list of all time best blessings. No street lights, but stars and moon almost as bright as daylight on a rainless night.
It's quiet in a mountain sort of way. The nearby creek flows hard during a rain.The wind through the trees roars in overlapping crescendos coming down the back slope, and sometimes the sound of thunder is so excruciatingly beautiful I can't help but cry. The usually gentle, sometimes angry, beat of raindrops on the leaves outside my window combine in a symphony of heaven and I feel every second of it all as if it was part of me.
There is never a single time I come around the steep curve at the top of my road that I don't thank G-d right out loud for allowing me to absorb every sight, touch, and sound so lovingly laid out before me. And I wonder why, when there is so much beauty to cherish, so much love to share, that beyond my trees, down my mountain, there is so much hate.
Why, behind the eyes of man, is there such a willingness to destroy others who have done no harm to them?
I did finally go to sleep but like I said, it's dark, and lots of critters like to play at night. Some of them plain have no respect at all for people who sometimes sleep on THEIR watch, so even the silence of the deer isn't so silent when they are up close and personal. And they were.
Waking up in the middle of the night is okay by me. Sometimes I think I never sleep, really. So I turned on the radio expecting to get a little entertainment from Coast to Coast AM. I mean, what the heck else is on at that hour?
UFOs and ghosts are just okay with me too. Even Ed, (demonstrably wrong alla damn time,) Dames is entertaining sometimes.
But LAST night, March 12/13, George Noory's guest was an evangelical pastor who wrote a book about Islam's Assassins. This guy just made my flesh crawl from the gitgo.

In the first half of the show, author and evangelist Chris Panos shared his views on the current state of Islam, and how it conflicts with the West. Having spent decades working with Muslims all over the world, he's come to believe that the Islamic mindset involves world domination.
So far, so good...until you actually hear him. And you have to take the title, EVANGELIST, seriously here, because this IS exactly what they think, how they preach, and do not give a damn about their flaming hypocrisy.
Chris Spanos preaches out of Houston, Texas, but all of them, Robertson to Graham, Falwell to Hagee, will tell you how much they LOVE the Jews. EVERYBODY knows we are their favorite surrogates to fight the LAST battle for their messiah. But alas, poor Jewreck, unless we convert when he PROVES to us he has saved us after most of us have been massacred, welllll then. Off to eternal damnation for jew'all.
They've all said it, but last night, Chris Spanos spent an hour and a half talking about something he showed in the LAST half hour, he knew hardly anything about. He HEARD it on the Glenn Beck Show, and he heard it FROM Benjamin Netanyahu, that Homodinejad wanted to bring about the islamic version of Armageddon.
That can NOT be allowed to happen.
Why?
Because it will usurp the divine right of Christians to possess the Holy Land.
He actually SAID Homodinejad must be taken out because Mohammad didn't die on the cross. Jesus did. The GOOD news, for this guy, is that Armageddon, Christian style will happen. Russia and China will gather and make war AGAINST Israel, and "that's a good thing because at the last minute, Jesus will appear to the Israelites and prove that he is the messiah, and the Israelites will fall on their knees and worship him. Then we will all become one people...in his kingdom, Jerusalem."
When asked what would happen if we did not all "fall on our knees," he replied that those who don't would be doomed to eternal death.
Noory opened up the phone lines, and holy cow!!! Some lunatic started out raving about how Christians NEVER converted anyone by the sword, and Spanos agreed, adding that Christianity was only spread by word of mouth...talking to people everywhere in the world... ONLY by preaching about the love of jesus and how he died for our sins...
With all due respect to Michael Savage, who really IS one of the smartest people I know, even he doesn't always do his homework.
One of the saddest moments on Talk Radio was when Michael Savage, who knows plenty about the Old Testament, had Hagee on to enlighten him about the endtimes prophecies in Revelations. Michael Savage praised this guy for stating how much evangelicals love Jews and Israel, but two nights before, on the Discovery Channel, they had run a documentary about Armageddon in which the good Pastor Hagee was a featured spokesperson.
He did not see us so kindly then. In fact, he ALSO made the same insulting remarks and intimated that it was BECAUSE we had not accepted their messiah Israel would be brought to her knees, but only at the last possible minute. You see, before that, all the good Christians will have already been raptured away so, folks, all us heathen will be on our own to save the Holy City for the wholly shitty.
Well. Hellalujah, Brother Spanos. Rapture yerself away already, Brother Hagee. I ain't your daisy.
Ain't you slithery serpents with forked silken tongues drippin' with venom got no shame, man????
Then again, maybe if WE all just volunteer for hell duty, everyone will finally leave us alone. I mean... I'm just saying.
