THANKS AND NO THANKS

With Israel fighting for her life, I have been absorbing every shred of news, pronouncement, interview, etc., that my mind could possibly take in. Radio, television, computer, telephone. Most, simultaneously what with the miracles of headphones, microphones, and TV captioning.
I need to thank the President of the United States for fending off the members of the G8, for putting the blame in the right place, and not allowing condemnation of Israel to be announced at that summit which would have emboldened The Islamonazis even more.
Also, thank you, John Bolten for knocking the UN off its hobby horse.
I must say I am exceedingly proud of Israelis and how the Spirit of Am Yisrael has taken on new life.
In this country, I have seen those elitest faux Jews, who used to blame Israel first because they always remained so aloof from it all as if their wealth and position would protect them, change overnight once Hezbullah and Hamas began shelling Haifa and threatening Tel Aviv.
You see, they too have family and friends there they thought were pretty well insulated from all this "settler" stuff. NOW they say Israel must do what should have been done , (which they succeeded in preventing for years,) until it is finished.
Even Marc Ginsberg, who helped shoehorn Kholmeini into Iran with Jiminy Carter presiding, couldn't crack his usual toothy smile while explaining that Israel should use restraint. In fact, his brow was furrowed and he said the exact opposite. Seems he has family in Haifa.
Most people with eyes, ears, and even the most rudimentary knowledge of Lebanon's predicament, ie, having an entrenched enemy in its own midst as part of its government, understand that Hezbullah and its state sponsors, Syria and Iran, could give a damn less if innocent people are killed. It is the modus operendi of every one of these cowardly terrorist organizations to hold populations as virtual captives. No secret EVER, that they hide behind womens' skirts or babies, in hospitals, schools, mosques. It is an overt, albeit hideous, strategy and adds to their advantage that innocent people might be killed so they can claim victimhood.
Everyone one should know by now that they have done this with their OWN children; that they have deliberately used disabled, elderly people, forcing a weapon onto their laps in wheelchairs, and pushed them directly out in front of soldiers with weapons firing from almost every direction. The elderly person is killed. What young soldier seeing an AK 47 in someones' hands would not fire?
Everyone has seen, or at least heard of, the Muslim barbaric mutilations of hostages both when they are alive and after they succumb to death to release themselves from the torture.
So it was to my utter astonishment that during an impromptu interview on a cable news channel whose reporter was interviewing some of 25,000 Americans still in Lebanon, what did my wonderous eyes behold but a Catholic Bishop from the United States, an AMERICAN, who grabbed his moment to broadcast all over the world, that Hezbullah should take the Americans as hostages immediately and force the US government to intervene and stop Israel once and for all.
Within an hour, the word went out to Americans NOT to try and go to the US Embassy for fear hezbullah might do what the good padre had suggested...as in how Homodinejad took the US embassy with hostages in Iran. I know the people at the embassy were feeling nauseous with this eerie deja vu moment. As each day passes and hezbullah becomes more desperate, my frequent thought is that if by the will of G-d, these people make it out of there, that priest and his flunky should be arrested on sight and charged with 25,000 counts of willful endangerment, collaboration with the enemy, and sent straight to Gitmo.
Within an hour after the embassy had warned Americans to stay low, Israel announced that it would not abide Hezbullah's use of human shields. I am in a position to know these two announcements were coordinated with the hope that hezbullah would not be crazy enough to take this bastard at his word.
Furthermore, I have yet to hear ANY major Christian leader of any denomination stand in support of Israel. I DID hear Franklin Graham say that we needed to be born again in the blood of christ and unless that happens, we are lost. He also stated that George Bush should let jesus decide whether he should save us or not.
To him, and to all the others, I say stick it where the sun don't shine. And stay OUT of our business, out of our Land, and go to the hell you have made up for yourselves.
Everybody else is reporting the news and it is simply redundancy squared. Things are happening rapidfire and after reading the same reports ad nauseum, this is not the place to come if you want the same old same old. These are my own observations and opinions about what is happening. Take it for what it is.
